Iu Mien Cultural Dance
In partnership with United Mien Youth of WA (https://www.mienyouthwa.org), the WA Iu-Mien Dancers consist of over 40 children and teenagers who use our facility to practice cultural dancing. Cultural dance provides our young people with not only an enjoyable, healthy, and collaborative extracurricular activity, but also a vital platform for preserving Iu-Mien culture and language. Our youth showcase their talents at multiple events annually, including the Annual International Children’s Friendship Fellowship Festival, the Annual Iu-Mien New Year, and the Summer Iu-Mien Festival. The community center plays a crucial role in enabling our youth to practice Iu-Mien cultural dances, serving as a space for rehearsals and performances throughout the year.
