Cietv Hlaax Ziepc Feix is the 14th day of the Seventh lunar month, a festival to worship our ancestors. Every year, Cietv Hlaax Ziepc Feix (or a mid-year celebration) is hosted and celebrated at the community center. It is based on the Chinese Lunar calendar and normally falls around the month of August or early September.

It is a day of celebration of the spirits or ancestral spirits. The event starts with a blessing from our local shaman, with a tribute and a giving to the spirits who protect us. This ceremony gives thanks to the spirits and asks to give the Iu-Mien good health, wealth, and to live in harmony. The event includes games, musical performances, and food as well.
