Get to know us
Iu Mien American Association (IMAA) provides social services, trainings, education, and outreach opportunities for members in the Iu Mien community to live productive lives and to acculturate into American culture, with compassion, dignity, and excellence, while preserving important aspects of their cultures.
The community center was made possible by the generosity of our very own private contributing donors: community members. With their collective efforts of persistent work in achieving a common goal, trust and confidence was developed among the community leaders and members to maximize their in-kind of donations to match the neighborhood's matching grant funded by the City of Seattle, state, and private donors to bring our dream of a community center a reality.
Our mission
Networking together, as a board set of community-based organizations, community members, internal and external partnerships; to create collaborative resources in advancing services to bridge communication and trust within our community. We are deeply commitment to equality and social justice by bridging the gaps of health and income inequality and welcoming a more inclusive society.
Our vision
To cultivate an all-inclusive, secure, and vibrant environment that would motivate and promote the youths of our diverse society to expand their talents and skills to marginalize social injustices while preserving the traditions of many cultures.
