JACK's Journey22 Food Bank

Food access is a significant challenge not only in our community but also for many other BIPOC communities across South King County. Recognizing this pressing issue, we launched our Food Bank Program in partnership with Food LifeLine in July 2022. Under the leadership and organization of Alyson Chao, the program has become a vital resource, powered by the dedication of volunteers and sustained by generous donations.

Every Friday, our food bank distributes essential groceries and fresh produce to those in need, reaching an estimated 200 individuals each week. This consistent support has made a tangible difference in the lives of many families who struggle with food insecurity.

Beyond meeting immediate needs, the Food Bank Program plays a crucial role in uplifting the Iu-Mien community. By actively addressing food access challenges, we are not only improving the well-being of our community members but also enhancing the visibility and reputation of the Iu-Mien community. This program demonstrates our collective strength, resilience, and commitment to caring for one another, shining a positive light on our community within the broader South King County area.
